- Formally propose a Night Mayor role to coordinate nightlife policies, protecting Tampa’s venues and ensuring artists have accessible performance spaces, leveraging my Ybor Chamber of Commerce experience.

The Environment / Water Supply

Affordable Housing + Development

Public Safety + Policing

- Secure funds and CDBG grants to fund expanded nonprofit-led permanent supportive housing (PSH) for chronically homeless individuals in District 5, partnering with Metropolitan Ministries. Integrate mental health services and job placement programs, leveraging my Ybor Chamber of Commerce experience to connect residents to local businesses like those in Ybor City.
- Invest from FY26 budget and USDOT grants to launch a microtransit van program, connecting our homeless residents to shelters like Tampa Hope (300 beds) and resources like Feeding Tampa Bay, with routes serving East Tampa and Downtown. Use funds from East Tampa CRA to equip shelters with security systems, inspired by my Safe and Sound program at Crowbar, ensuring safe access without criminalization.
- Allocate funds from the FY26 budget and HUD’s Emergency Solutions Grants to expand rapid re-housing programs, targeting 100 additional households in District 5, building on Catholic Charities’ model. Partner with nonprofits like CDC of Tampa to provide job training at community hubs like the proposed North 29th Street grocery store, focusing on construction and retail skills to ensure long-term stability.
- Increase community policing efforts and create more opportunities for police officers to engage with local residents.
- Provide additional training and resources for police officers to help them better understand and work with the diverse communities they serve.
- Implement a zero-tolerance policy for police brutality and hold officers accountable for any abuses of power.
- Fight for a citizen’s review board with the power to independently investigate and subpoena police officers accused of misconduct.
